Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple)
Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple) is located in the Rong Suea Ten community, Rim Kok Subdistrict. It has been meticulously restored by Mr. Puttha Kabkaew, also known as “Sala Nok,” a local artist from Chiang Rai. As a student of Master Chalermchai Kositpipat, Mr. Puttha has transformed the temple into an exceptionally beautiful masterpiece adorned with unique applied arts. The temple’s striking blue hues and exquisite architectural details, crafted by stucco artists, make it truly captivating.
Inside the temple, you’ll find the Ubosot, which is also adorned in shades of blue. Its intricate and distinctive patterns add to its allure. Within the Ubosot, the Phra Buddha Ratchamongkol Bodi Trilokanat resides. This magnificent Buddha image stands at an impressive height of 6.5 meters with a lap width of 5 meters. The statue is adorned with 88,000 Phra Rod Lamphun statues, as well as silver and gold rings. Beneath the Buddha statue lie many precious items, including relics of the Lord Buddha. These relics were bestowed by Somdet Phra Yansangworn Somdej Phra Sangharaja Sakon Maha Sanghaparinayok. Additionally, the temple’s murals beautifully depict the history of Buddha.
